How do I apply for an apartment?

Where is University Edge located?
We’re located at 393 Sumner Street, Akron, OH 44304 – conveniently right across the street from the University of Akron.
When is the leasing office open?
The leasing office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
Do you allow pets?
Yes! Please contact our office for details.
Is on-site parking available?
University of Akron Students get a campus parking pass included in their tuition and fees and can obtain an additional overnight commuter pass to conveniently park right across the street in the Exchange Street Parking Deck on campus.
What is an individual lease?
An individual lease is a per-bed lease. You sign a lease for a bed in the apartment and share common areas with roommates. This allows you to live with roommates without having to worry about whether they’re going to pay on time.
What is the process to match roommates?
If you’re looking for a roommate, fill out our roommate-matching questionnaire when you sign your lease. We will use that information to match you and your future roommate. If you already have a roommate selected, we can help sort out the details with that, too!
Do you have an on-site laundry facility?
Each unit has its own washer and dryer for your convenience.
Do you have a maintenance staff?
Yes, we have maintenance available during office hours, as well as 24-hour emergency maintenance service. We have a standard 48-hour work order turnaround time.
Do I have to be a student to live here?
No, you do not.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, there is a $100 deposit.
How do I pay rent?
You’re welcome to pay by check or money order at the leasing office during business hours, or you can pay online!
When is rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Contact us for more information on our grace period before you start accruing late fees.
